I think I learned a lot about how to be flexible, and a more understanding human. I learned a lot about my field with my internship, which was by far the most educationally important aspect. I also learned deeply what is important to me, and who I am, facing a place where I was so different.

Yes
While this was by all means not easy, it allowed me to connect with people in a way I had never even conceptualized. Living with a host family meant you are truly integrated into someone else's life, someones reality, and I wouldn't trade that experience for anything |

We lived with host families who only spoke Wolof and French, so it was very immersive. |
