A lot about culture and people's interactions. Also learned how to live on my own and be independent

Below average resources. Not many helpful people in the library. Classes were relatively easy

Very. Apartments were nice and spacious

Food was repetitive. Many of the same options

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Very. Everyone was open to conversations if you put yourself out there enough

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Going to the hospital was confusing and little help was provided by global semesters

* Safety:

Never felt unsafe except for creepy people lingering around the bus stop at old town

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

I loved Cyprus and it will always hold a special place in my heart. Yet, though I would love to study abroad again, it would be in a new country to make new memories and experience the world all over again!

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

maybe 50-60$ a week on food and going out. Flights out of Cyprus were very cheap. Ranging from 12 euro to 120.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • the people
  • food
  • island time
* What could be improved?
  • more weekend trips
  • more chanced to immerse into Cypriot culture and traditional food
  • more time on Turkish side and information how to use buses there
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? It would be so cold in the beginning (January till March). Also the hour and a half bus ride to the beach. Nicosia is NOT close to the shore
