Warm, Historical, Laid Back! June 17, 2024

By (Media Arts and Sciences, Wellesley College) - abroad from 01/30/2024 to 06/08/2024 with

University of Nicosia - Global Semesters: Nicosia - Semester in Cyprus

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a lot about Cypriot and Greek cultures, including the history of the lands I got to live in and visit. It was definitely worthwhile, especially if you are looking to have a laidback day-to-day experience rather than busy and on-the-go.

The Nearly Native or Trail Blazer
Craving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.'
