Being abroad taught me get out of my comfort zone and experience the culture of another country. Talking to the locals was one of the best part of the trips. They enjoy talking to Americans and are willing to explain things that we wouldn't have known by reading a textbook. In Ireland one of the locals told us that we didn't need to leave tips for the bar tenders or waitresses because they are paid a normal hourly wage. Going abroad was by far the best choice I have made during my college career. I would strongly suggest for every student to go abroad!

| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | Not all places give you towels to use so pack one to be on the safe side. Pack a watch -- you will use it more than you think. Bring a power strip so mulitple people can charge electronics at the same time. |
