What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Totally worthwhile! I learned how Italian culture works and how they do business. Italians live much differently than I do in the United States so it was interesting to see a much different culture.

I learned a lot from this experience. I learned about the service industry, something I feel will help me in my future, rather than just doing the capstone part of study abroad.

  • Hanging out with my classmates
  • Dan and Kendra were a great professor/wife combo to lead us on this program
  • Being able to just experience something new

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I would have known more Italian to be able to better communicate with the locals.

The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
