Sacred Spaces: Fun, Enlightening, Enriching Past Review
By Liz M (Secondary Math Education, University of Northern Iowa) for
University of Northern Iowa: Traveling - Sacred Space Honors Capstone in Italy
What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a lot about religion and different cultures, I expanded my experiences. I am much more willing now to try new things. I definitely plan to go back to some of the places we visited now.

A Look Back
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | I would recommend that most students go, unless they are anti-Catholic or would get sick of going to churches. All of the churches are different though, and that is definitely not all we do. I would suggest looking into the history of St. Francis and the places he went in his life because the trip goes to many places he went, and also to attend a Catholic Mass in english before leaving if you are not Catholic to familiarize yourself with some of the traditions |
