Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Compared to my home school they were very lenient and laid back, however they were never short of academic resources. The lack of help from the professor though was disappointing.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The administration was very very kind and always helpful

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

For freshman housing it was very neat and not too loud.

* Food:

I didn't like the lack of variety during breakfast and dinner but lunch was great because we had so many options outside of our dining hall.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I had not experience with this

* Safety:

I felt very safe even though that campus was very vast

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

it's a nice place, I think I got a good perspective of the country

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

You don't really need to buy anything there, all your needs are pretty much provided although Nottingham itself is pretty expensive.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 50 pounds

* Did your program have a foreign language component? No

Direct Enrollment/Exchange

* Did you study abroad through an exchange program or did you directly enroll in the foreign university? Exchange

Reasons For Studying Abroad

To help future students find programs attended by like-minded individuals, please choose the profile that most closely represents you.
The Nearly Native or Trail Blazer
Craving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.'

Film and Culture

Course Department: Film and Television
Instructor: Dr. Hong Wei

Comments: This class had multiple teachers throughout the semester which just made it hard to grasp anything as they all had different teaching styles. Also different professor graded my assignments every time which made it hard to get useful feedback on my work
