What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned that I love Middlebury. It was worthwhile in the sense that it solidified my choice in attending a small liberal arts college.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 1 month - 6 months

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The classes that I attended at the university didn't challenge me in any way. Direct information was given and expected to be revised but was not thought-provoking.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Horrible. The administration was unorganized, never answered phone calls, and had technical issues that hindered student's abilities to access their course information.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Out of the three courses I took, I only enjoyed one of them. The other two, were an absolute waste of time. In fact, I think I would've learned more just reading the slides on my own.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

As a low-income student, it was extremely hard to live on my budget in England. Food was extremely overpriced, and so were travel expenses.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $80
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Just don't go to England if you're poor.
