Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 1 month - 6 months

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

In some modules work that was completed was not promptly returned before the final, although it was explained what was required for a top mark, it would of been nice to know where your grade stood before entering the final.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

It was difficult to get meetings with the study abroad advisors, and many times was referred back to my home advisor or my CIS program advisor.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Upon arrival everything had to be bought, pots, pans, bedding etc. It was very close to lectures as it was in a gated community across the street from campus. However my card to get into the gated community never properly worked even after many times of "fixing" it. Living with all international students limited my ability to make friends with locals and as there was only a small kitchen of shared living space there was not much room to entertain anyone. I felt very safe while I was living there but I really wish I would of been put into a on campus dorm with more students from the home university. It would of really changed my experience.

* Food:

I lived in a self catered off campus.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

There was a lot to do in Nottingham and faculty as well as my housing complex ran nights out or other social events for all students.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)
