Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The workload was much different, with a lot more emphasis placed on final exams, and lectures were nowhere near as valuable as I'm accustomed to, but it was a nice change and a very valuable educational experience. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
I think the office for international students did a great job setting us up with everything we needed and any resources we might want to help assimilate abroad. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
It would have been nicer to live with less americans, but I understand that the sheer majority of international students were american, limiting that capability. |
* Food: |
The food was fantastic, simply expensive. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Travelling the country and spending time living with locals was the best way to experience the country |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
I generally felt very safe around my housing and school, and never used the healthcare available. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |

Course Name/Rating: |
Social Aspects of Language |
Course Department: | LING112 |
Instructor: | Anne Feryok |
Instruction Language: | English |
Comments: | The material of the course was very interesting, as was the work we did ourselves. The teaching was not impressive however, and the professor often seemed to take her lessons directly from the textbook, making them unnecessary, on top of being generally not engaging. |

Comments: | Interesting course, the lab and lecture didn't really complement one another very well, but it was a good course to take while in NZ. |

I'm amending my last comment; I have found that information, so the lack of clarity was on my end.
