How basic things operate was an eye opener. The way the post office functioned was different and it was interesting. Just minor things I never think about were quite different. It was definitely worthwhile

Salem state did not offer any assistance unless I knew to ask for something very specifically. There was zero assistance unless I knew what to ask for.

Finances

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Save your money before going. If you have a job start setting it aside because you will need it for travel, etc.
