What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
For sure worthwhile. I learned a lot about other nations and got a small glimpse at what an average university student is like. I learned so much German, I could have learned more tho.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I took courses in German and I was in no way a fluent speaker. I should have taken the DSH B2/C1 morning course instead of lectures.

Peter-Hille-Weg sucks, international students shouldn't live there.

Joining a gym is way too expensive/complicated so i ended up gaining some pounds.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish i didnt listen to any advice the past students told us. I wish I realized that Paderborn is in no way a city - its a village. I wish I knew not to take lectures but instead do the crash course (to meet other international students) and to take the DSH morning course (to improve german)
