What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned how to connect with people from a completely different culture and completely different backgrounds. I learned how to be my best self and how to see the world.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Courses were hit or miss in terms of whether or not they were challenging. The workload was extremely manageable.

I didn't really need to seek out anybody on the campus, but when I did, they were very helpful.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Great room, great roommates, average food, bad heater, bad kitchen. You win some, you lose some. I felt like I won in this department.

* Food:

Yeah, London food is not my favorite, but you get to eat it in London so it makes it that much better.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Digby Shaw was the best possible dorm/house for me to live in. The people really make the experience unique, and it will be something I take away from this in the long run.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Well, this was an interesting situation for me. I got tonsillitis and the uni would have charged me 45 pounds to see someone. However, having the hospital across the street made things much better for me.

* Safety:

I felt very safe here even with the recent incidents in Europe.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I am so lucky. I can't just write this on a website and say it was great. I can't explain my experience in one post. This taught me way more about myself than I thought it would. I love being abroad, I love London, I love Roehampton, and I can't wait to take my family out here to show them where I once studied.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I traveled a lot and food is not cheap, so I probably have a bad example of budgeting. I spent more money than I wanted to.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Probably 80 pounds
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? When traveling on the weekends during the semester, go to places such as Paris, Edinburgh, Dublin, or places closer to London. Try to save all of the trips further away for later on and do them back to back.
