What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Yes defiantly! It made me a better person and more independent! It opened my eyes to new ideas and goals, possibly teaching in other countries! Every culture is different but when they come together you get something amazing!

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 2 weeks - 1 month

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Work load was just enough, the grading system sightly confusing, teaching methods need work... Lectures were too big! Not to many differences other than the fact that they have one big assessment instead of multiple small assignments.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Expectations were met however class sizes were rather large! Teachers and pupils were very friendly!

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Didn't like not having a room mate but flats were nice and students were friendly! The flats could have been cleaner! And exchange students should not be put with freshman! The porters treat you like children not college students!

* Food:

Hard to find on the weekends but during the week lots of options! And very yummy!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

None arranged by my program but planned trips on my own, very lovely time!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

No real safety concerns, if anything the program was too concerned. No fear with Scotland, everybody is friendly!

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)
