Past Review
By Shannon F (PSYCHOLOGY., Clark University) for
University of Stirling: Stirling - Direct Enrollment & Exchange
I gained worldy knowledge but the classes and schoolwork was horrible. I felt like I was wasting money being there. It should not have been the same costs as Clark tuition.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The classes were very large. I was not used to this coming from such a small school. There is minimal professor- student interaction. There was not much work, which meant one essay could determine your final grade. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
There orientation was horrible. It was not very informative and did not allow you to interact with students from Stirling. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I loved the dorm I was in. Everyone had a single which was nice, but it wsa a suite style so you could meet people. |
* Food: |
Fish and chips are amazing. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I was able to travel all around Scotland. There train system is amazing. I was also able to travel around Europe. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
I felt very safe, but if I had gotten sick I would have not known what to do. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
No
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Language
Language acquisition improvement? |
I learned Scottish slang, which was fun. |

A Look Back
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | I would tell them to be aware that the academics are not up to par as Clark Univeristy. If you are studying abroad for the schooling I would think twice about it. But if you are studying abroad for the culture experience I would definately recommend it. |
