Review Your Program
|
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
I loved the school, the professors and my peers. The level of interest, information and attention to the subject material. I wish I could have stayed at UTS for the remainder of my education, it was that good. |

* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |

|
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I found housing for myself when I arrived in Australia. I found it on Gumtree (the Australian version on craigslist). I lived in a small house in the suburb of Newtown with 3 Australian locals. They were out of school and worked full time so my experience with them was different to than my experience with my classmates. |
| * Food: |
I am a good cook :) |
|
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
nothing. I did it all myself and enjoyed every moment. There is so much to to around Sydney that I barely had time to leave. Also the scenery in Australia as a country is so beautiful that not seeing it is a crime in itself. |
|
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
| * Safety: |
It is a city - like any city - just don't be stupid. |
| If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
|
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | no - the cost of living in Australia is very high - especially Sydney. Just expect to spend a lot when you are there. If you want to cut costs, choose a different city or country. |
Language
| How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? | None |
| If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition? |
|
