WOW. I got to see some incredible places and experience some amazing people. It was life-changing, worth every penny. Take advantage to go abroad while you have this much time off b/c you won't get this much again until you retire. Taught since 2004 by Dr. Janet Ellzey, Mechanical Engineering Professor and Vice Provost, this enlightening program offers an interdisciplinary discussion and study of the history, practice, and organizations involved in setting industry standards. The course, taught in English, may count as one of the required degree technical electives for any of the different engineering majors at UT. Students hone research and public speaking skills working on weekly group projects. The program, hosted by INSA, one of France's top Engineering schools, also offers a second course on basic French language and culture. Located in beautiful and historic Toulouse, the campus is crossed by the Canal du Midi,a UNESCO Wold Heritage site. The city is a sophisticated center of learning and of aerospace and aviation boasting one of the wold's most technologically advanced companies, Airbus. Its enchanting downtown and cultural life is made lively by Toulouse's large university student population.
