About
Held within the Mexican arts mecca of Mexico City, this course will enable students to witness the breadth of music, dance, theatre, and visual arts that this city has to offer and appreciate Mexican arts in the Mexican context. Furthermore, students will consider works specifically designed for children and the impact of arts education in Mexico City, and how these works contrast with those in the United States. This program will enable students to experience the arts in Mexico as a community, and then think and talk about the work together. Students will come away with an ability to: rigorously describe live performance, imagine how performance asks questions about the world, understand the role of an audience member in a live performance, and more!
