About
Being a concrete support of modern life, sensors are everywhere today, from nanometer-sized sensors to giant gravitational wave sensors. Many of these novel sensors share the same core principles and they have been miniaturized through the IC manufacturing process in order to fit into personal devices for many different purposes, including health monitoring. The goal of the course is to learn the fundamental principles behind a wide variety of sensor technologies, with a focus on nanometer to micrometer-sized sensors for biomedical applications. We will use the incredible city of Barcelona as our classroom to see how these principles are put to use in a variety of ways and among different organizations.
