About
London has been an economic, educational, and cultural center of Europe for many centuries. It is an inspiring location in which to study the development of culture, engineering, architecture, and their interconnections. The UK has a well deserved reputation for academic excellence. Three of the world's top ten universities (Cambridge, London, and Oxford) for engineering and technology teaching are in London and its vicinities. The city offers magnificent examples of engineering achievement including basic engineering geometric construction and advanced transportation design to move 9.5 million people efficiently in a modern city that aims to be sustainable, and efficient. The course introduces the history of nuclear development, basic concepts of radiation and radioactivity, radioactive waste management, global warming, the impact of nuclear power plants, industrial applications, nuclear security, and nuclear medicine.
