This six-week Summer 1 program based in Paris, France, aims to provide a survey of contemporary global challenges through guided classroom discussion and site visits to numerous international organizations.The program is divided into two halves: the first three weeks consist of Foundations in International Relations and Global Studies (IRG 320F), and the second three weeks consist of The Theory and Practice of International Organizations (GOV 360N). Students will assess the scholarly and policy debates surrounding key global political, economic, social and environmental challenges for the modern world;as well as gain first-hand awareness of the efforts to address these challenges by state and civil society actors within global governance institutions.
