University of Texas at Austin: TXA Paris French Fashion - History & Techniques

Paris is the center of the world of creative fashion. From working in an intimate sewing atelier, to visiting tradeshows, showrooms, artisan studios, museums and learning from industry professionals, the students will acquire a broad base of experiential knowledge. The student will have the cross-cultural experience of studying, working and living day-to-day in a global environment that will help prepare them for their entry into the industry marketplace. A 4-day overnight trip will also enable to the students to explore outside of Paris. They will visit the childhood home of Christian Dior and explore the seaside town of Granville in Normandy followed by a tour of the Mont Saint Michel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
