University of Texas - Austin: Paris - CIBER International Accounting Program
What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was definitely worthwhile. I loved how each city I visited was different. The French can be incredibly nice and wonderful if you show them you are making an effort to understand their culture. I saw so much history, and I had the most fun just wandering the streets without dealing with all the touristy attractions. I can't wait to go back.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
I liked the UT-taught class. It was so different from the normal classes at school. As for the other class taught by classes from the French university, I would have liked to be warned that they pretty much expected us to have taken advanced accounting. They talked a lot about consolidation of financial statements, and I was lost for a lot of the class. |
