I learned about the large amount of both similarities and differences between us and other nations, I learned how to communicate with those who do not speak English fluently, and most of all, I learned about myself. Was it worthwhile? YES

Groceries are relatively cheap if you shop smart, but meals out and other expenses are quite pricey.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? start saving as soon as possible, regardless of whether or not you know you are going to study abroad. cook as many meals as possible, and don't get carried away with personal purchases, alcohol, or eating out. Create a budget and stick to it.
