Although friendly most of the time, getting my classes registered and responses from the staff was comparable to pulling teeth. I suggest you stay on the constantly to ensure you get what you need.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I enjoyed living in my dorm, despite the fact that there was no air conditioning I adjusted to the climate and bought a cheap fan in Bridgetown that sufficed.

* Food:

Whenever I ate out on the town and in the community the food was DELICIOUS and it was affordable. I especially enjoyed eating at oistins where I could get a plethora of sides and a huge piece of fish for a very competitive price.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Very integrated into the local culture. The people were very friendly and warm. Only concern is sometimes a little overly friendly, although harmless, advances may be common.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Never had issues seeing a doctor when needed.

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I lived on 70 USD a week and I honestly would have needed a little more. I say one could live comftorably on a hundred.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 70-85 USD a week
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Yes, superstores are really expensive. Try Cheryl's in Bridgetown for cheap basics and then the cheap side market for delicious and cheap vegetables and fruits.

Comments: Although the course was very interesting and I put a lot of time into it I am severely disillusioned by my final grade which neither reflected nor warranted the amount of work and preparation I put into the course. I am meeting resistance to reviewing my exam as I am now oversees, despite the fact that I was told I had to leave within days of my final exam.
