About
In order to apply to this program, students should be pre-approved by Prof. Glen Collier.
An introduction to the biodiversity and natural history of a tropical rainforest. The course will meet for two hours per week before fall break. During these class periods students will participate in seminar discussions of the natural history and biology of neotropical rainforests. These discussions will be preparatory to a ten to eleven day field trip to La Selva Biological Station in northeastern Costa Rica over fall break. The focus of the field trip will be a combination of a course project as well as individual field projects. Students will present oral reports of their work upon return from the field trip. Field trip fees will be in addition to tuition. Permission of instructor and signed release form will be required for final enrollment.
