Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The workload was completely manageable. A few quizzes and assignments here and there. There were walking tours which were slightly arduous for those who weren't used to walking a lot (but not for the northern college students). Grading was completely fair. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
It was really so great, i can't think of anything I'd want to change. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Awesome. English food is weirdly disgusting though (excellent ingredients, just prepared poorly). |
* Food: |
Use your dining hall food. They have a cold section in Regent's College that is AMAZING. I love Apple Rice. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
We went to Wimbledon, Bath, a lot of plays in the East and West End, etc. etc. SOOOO MUCH STUFF! Barely anytime to sleep. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
So, I got sick. Which is a pain, because medicine in London isn't that great. There was a doctors hospital nearby though, but medicine is bad in the UK, I think. Its far outdated. Not as high-tech as America or proficient at all. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | Err, around 150 pounds a week. |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | It's an expensive trip, but if you know the expenses, then Harvard will help you out. |
Language
How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? | None |
