Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
|
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
|
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I was placed with irresponsible first year students who were disrespectful to everyone else living in the flat. Even after complaints about their cleanliness in shared spaces nothing was fixed. |
* Food: |
There was no food available which we knew going into the housing arrangements, but unable to rate as n/a |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
This was due to having to travel for classes, other than that our host provider did not sponsor anything for us to do while in the country. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
We were given a briefing at orientation about this |
* Safety: |
There was never a time, even late on the tube or bus, I felt unsafe. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
I felt integrated into the school, learned so much about myself and how other cultures live and walked away with feeling good about what I want to do with my life. |
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
London is very expensive no matter what you do especially when you have no cafeteria. |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | £100 |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Make sure to buy the student Oyster card, ask for student discounts |

The Academic or LinguistYou went abroad with specific academic goals in mind; the program credentials and rigor of your coursework abroad were very important to you. You had a great time abroad, but never lost sight of your studies and (if applicable) were diligent with your foreign language study. Good for you! |
