Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

No work, it was a volunteer trip.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I felt that Scott Stine was extremely knowledgeable and well organized when it came to planning the trip. Things ran very smoothly while we were there and he did a great job of finding tour guides for us in the countries we visited.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Stayed in hotels and guest houses of monasteries. The places we stayed were all exceptional and very homey.

* Food:

AMAZING FOOD! Just don't, I repeat, don't eat any meat.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

...

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Very safe.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? About $200 in three weeks. But this included meals, water, transportation, and all of my souvenirs.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Everything is VERY cheap there but bring cash because it can be difficult to find an ATM sometimes.

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
