What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned that England is way more like American than people tend to think and it also doesn't rain nearly as much as people say it does.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 1 month - 6 months

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The work load is very easy as long as you space out when you are working on research and right for each class because every class only has two assignments. Teaching method is mostly lecture with very little student interaction.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I didn't really have an issues that needed to be handled by the administration except for the set up of my exams which was done very well and promptly.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Overall, the housing was okay. I did notice that the quality of appliances and seating in the kitchen was very different from flat to flat. The level of accommodations was chosen for the semester students. We were given the middle level. I did have to buy alot of items to settle in. A new pillow and duvet (the free ones were very low quality). I also had to buy new cookware because there was not enough in the kitchen that was usable.

* Food:

N/A

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The international Christmas party was really great and the trip to oxford.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Safety was something that I never worried about. I walked to town by myself all the time and always felt safe. Security on campus is very minimal so its a good thing that is was not need. There are areas on campus that are not very well light though.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)
