Once in a Lifetime June 18, 2024
By A student (Economics, Middlebury College) - abroad from 02/05/2024 to 05/17/2024 with
UPCES - Study Abroad in Prague (CERGE-EI, Charles University)
I learned how truly large the world is. There are so many different cities, cultures, and people to connect with and none of them are the same. Also, living so far from home, you learn about yourself and how to thrive on your own. 100% worthwhile.

Prague is a great city to study in. It is very safe, clean, and quiet but also with fun options during the day and night. The city is also centrally located allowing for easy travel to the rest of Europe. UPCES runs a great program that teaches you a lot, but gives you balance to experience abroad outside of academics. |
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
Personally, traveling on weekends required significant expense for travel, housing, food, etc. If you are on a very tight budget there are definitely ways to limit expenses. Especially in Prague because it is a relatively cheap European city to study in. |
