Uppsala, Sweden Past Review
By Gabriel S (Germanic Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics., Illinois State University) for
Uppsala University: Uppsala - Direct Enrollment & Exchange
Yes certainly. It was the first time I ever lived abroad. Going to a European university also forces you to be a lot more independent than an American university, where you are kind of babied, so that's a good learning experience.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Classes of course varied, but things tended to be based only on one final assignment rather than any sort of coursework during the semester, which was assigned but not graded. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Very good program. Only gripe for me is that it was a bit of a hassle to get medical care. |

* Food: |
I cooked all my own food. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:

There are a lot of events and things to go to. If you wanted to you you could go out probably every day of the week. |
* Health Care:

City is totally safe. It was a pain to get reimbursed for hospital/clinic visits though. |

Yes
|
Finances

|
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | If you divide everything out I spent at least like 300 dollars a week. But this includes rent, and also I eat more than most people do. |
