BEST COLLEGE EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! Past Review

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I feel that my educational experience is richer and I am more enlightened by the reality of Globalism. I saw first hand how interrelated our "worlds" are such as business. I also learned of a unique culture and am a more well rounded person because of those experiences. My Spanish has improved greatly and I not only know it but understand the concepts behind it.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

GREAT PROFESSORS!! LEARNED SO MUCH AND EVEN THOUGH THE MATERIAL COULD BE CHALLENGING PROFESSORS MADE IT EASY TO COMPREHEND! THE OFFICE STAFF WERE ALSO GREAT! THEY WERE ALL VERY CLOSE TO US AND TOOK GREAT CARE OF US ALL WHILE ABROAD!! I MISS THEM ALL!

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

They were all extremely helpful! If they didn't know the answer to something (which was rare) they would find it out! They were also very caring and kind! We could go to them for anything and they would do their absolute best to help us!

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I loved my host family! They were very very kind and loving. They supported me as if I were there own child but they were not overbearing. They respected my privacy, but they were always there if I needed anything! My host family and I are extremely close and will continue to be.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I did get sick often because I am not use to the cold weather at all but my host parents were very helpful in helping me get better. There was never a question about my safety at school or at home. Everyone made sure we were always okay.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Plan and save as much as you can so that when you go to Europe you can do whatever you want! I did, and I have so many awesome experiences because of it...plus I'm not broke now that I'm back home. P.S. I went on a cruise down the Nile (3 days) for Spring Break and the stayed in Cairo for another 4 days. LOVED EVERY MOMENT OF ALL MY TRAVELS!
