What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I absolutely loved my study abroad experience! I had so much fun, met so many awesome people, and saw so many interesting things. I cannot wait to go back and am thinking about studying abroad again. I recommend studying abroad to anyone. I have such a different perspective on the world now.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 0-2 weeks

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The workload is minimal. I did not take one exam or have any homework besides final presentations and papers due at the end of the semester. I felt grading was very lenient. There are typically two class times per day for each module. There is a lecture and a lab where discussions and participation takes place.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The program administration was so nice and helpful. They took us on a couple trips as well.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I chose my housing because it was suggested to me for study abroad students. I felt very safe living there, there were always security monitoring who was entering and exiting, no one without a key could get in without permission. Location was a few blocks away from the tube station, campus was a couple stops away and there were plenty of bars around my building. Most of the things I needed were provided for me, example, sheets, cookware..

* Food:

The food is not the greatest but I could always find something I found appealing.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I was traveling almost every weekend around London, England, Britain. I went to Scotland and Wales for weekend trips. Scotland was my favorite trip outside of England, the Highlands and Loch Ness were amazing sites to see. I enjoyed touring the country of England because it is so beautiful and peaceful. London is very exciting, there are so many cool and interesting places to see, my favorite thing I did was the London Eye. My program provided a bus and boat tour of London, tickets to a play and Wicked, and a ride on the London Eye and dinner at Pizza Express.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I do not think there were much health issues, but if there were, i did not know about them. I felt very safe with my program.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? If you love excitement then you will love London. I would speak with someone who has studied abroad in the place you are going and find out what to see, where to go, and how to do things. I thought I was prepared before I went there and realized how much I still needed to know, like how to get a tube pass or what tipping policies are in restaurants.
