China was awesome but I feel like I kind of wasted a semester. I love learning and I barely learned anything during the semester.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
I was bored in all of my classes and didn't learn anything. I'm honestly a little surprised my school accepts credits from this program. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
It is very organized but the classes are boring. Also, there is no campus life whatsoever which was a disappointment. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
|
* Food: |
|
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
there weren't very many things organized by the program. it was up to students to find things to do. there was nothing to do on-campus so if we wanted to do something it usually required a metro ride that was up to an hour long. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
it's safe but pay attention for pick-pockets |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
No
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |

Language
* Did your program have a foreign language component? | Yes |
Language acquisition improvement? |
with my Chinese teacher. I had to use Mandarin every day to get around. Most people did not speak English. |
