My study abroad trip was absolutely worthwhile. I had a blast, got to see more than I could have hoped for, and made lifelong friends. I gained so much from it, and the knowledge and experience you take away with you is priceless.

The classes really weren't that difficult. They also left a lot of time for travel,and some even included extra field trips and stuff like that to see local stuff close to where we were. It was pretty nice, considering no one really does study abroad for the classes. |

In general I found most Italians to be unorganized and always late. It's just something you have to go with. |

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Living with other Americans did very little to help me with Italian, but I loved my apartment and my roommates. We are still really good friends, and they made the whole experience a lot of fun. |

It's italian food. enough said. |

How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
There were some rough patches, just with the cultural changes and stuff. but that's to be expected. Overall, the social part of the trip was great! Everyone in the program got along great and we had some really great times together experiencing Viterbo and Italy. |

How well were health issues addressed during the program? |

I was fine with my health issues, but one of my roommates did hurt her ankle during the semester, and did seem to have quite a bit of trouble getting it fixed/taken care of. Overall though I wasn't too worried about my safety or anything like that in Viterbo. |

A Look Back
| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | It really is a great time. Viterbo is a great little city. It's close to Rome, so it's easy to make day trips if you want. It's also relatively close to Florence, which is beautiful. I went Spring semester, and it was kind of cold and rainy for a while in the beginning, but overall, I loved it. |
