|
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
|
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
|
* Food: |
An immense amount of money was spent on food; more meals could have been provided |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
|
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
Worldwide Healthcare arranged an appointment with a doctor for me, however their refund policies are ridiculous and getting your money back for medication is nearly impossible; pharmacies do not give you copies of the information that they need that is not "receipt paper." I spent over $50 on medication. However, the visit was technically free. |
* Safety: |
|
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
Very difficult; most money was spent on necessary food |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | At least $200 on just food, Too much |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Buy instant coffee to make at home, buy in bulk, go to the local market instead of grocery store |
