Webster University: AHEPA Journey to Greece Summer Program
It was worthwhile and I have gained the knowledge and understanding of the brain drain from the local youth's perspective.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Not so much resource other than what we brought and the notes we took, and there wasn't such a strict lesson. And in the long run i loves how much work we didn't have but also I think it robbed us of academic benefit. |

* Social & Cultural Integration:

|
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
We had a couple of friends who had been injured and granted that their injuries had not been as serious as previous years but I think it is in the best interest at least for the reputation of the program that minors in the program don't go back home with signs of that injury. Hire a medic to come with us on trips. |
* Safety: |
We had passed through protests and riots. I can guarantee that students have nothing to worry about unless they want to start trouble. Everyone mind's their own business. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
I would do it all again although perhaps not very soon. I think the grading and classroom aspect of the trip distracted me sometimes from doing things that I wanted to enjoy. |
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
Everything concerning food was extremely cheap for the most part. |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | 30€ |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Take turns buying groceries and supplies. It evens out by the end of the trip if everyone contributes the same amount. |
