I loved absolutely everything about the experience that I had in Greece. The university staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and the locals are so friendly. I hope to visit again one day :) |
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
In comparison to the US, I would say that Athens is cheaper and so is pretty affordable |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | Me and my roommates ate out pretty often but we managed to spend only about $100 on food per week |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | I would say that planning and booking trips ahead of time is very helpful when trying to save money! |

Our professor was really good at trying to engage us in Greek even when we were out of class, which was super helpful |
