I learned how to live truly on my own in a completely unknown environment- and how to learn to thrive. It was 100% worthwhile.

It was a beautiful mix of classes and excursions and personal down time. The other students were amazing and the faculty was helpful. The school and apartments are located in the center of everything and teacher are understanding of workloads as its a time for exploration.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? About 50 euro. Groceries could be bought for about 20 and the rest of money was used for activities or eating out.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? It helps to set days where you don't spend money. For example, I would buy my groceries every Friday and then spend money on my weekend activities but not seen from Monday-Thursday.

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Looking up key phrases on youtube can be a good way to start if you're shy. Mixing Greek and English can also be helpful so listeners know you're still a beginner and can help you.
