What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was great!!! I met so many new people and learned a lot from them which I had not already known. I am still in touch with some of them and hopefully when I do go back to Thailand, I would meet them!

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 6 months+

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Some of the teachers did not employ effective pedagogies. In one of my classes, the teacher simply read from the power point presentations the entire class.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Because I live in Thailand, attending summer school there was not difficult. I was aware of the laws and regulations, knew how to speak Thai, etc. On the whole, my expectations were met and I was satisfied with it.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

My dorm was clean and well-maintained. Also, because I lived on the 15th floor it had an excellent view of the beach. Overall, I was satisfied with the facilities.

* Food:

I used to go out with my friends to have our meals. There were a dozen of restaurants which were tasty and cheap.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Because my institution is located near the beach and is known for its nightlife, it was an amazing experience. We used to spend our nights watching soccer matches at restaurants past midnight.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Thailand as a whole is a relatively safe country. Also, the clinic on campus was useful and the staff members were nice.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $40/week
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? None

Language

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
