About
Webster Athens is offering students the opportunity to gain valuable international experience while earning academic credit all from a student’s own home by completing a Virtual International Internship in one of the following areas:
Ø MNGT 4950: Retail Business Analysis Virtual Internship
Ø MNGT 4950: Retail Business Social Media Promotion Virtual Internship
Ø MDST 4950: Retail Business Social Media Promotion Virtual Internship
Ø MNGT 4950: Tourism Operations Project Management Virtual Internship
Ø MNGT 4950: B2B Research & Arrangements Virtual Internship
Each Virtual Internship earns 3 credits and runs over an 8-week term - encompassing 180 internship hours.
Students can gain the educational/theoretical knowledge from their courses, and then apply this knowledge within a real-world setting throughout their internship. Virtual internships lay a solid background for the future and provide the opportunity to achieve their career aspirations from a cross-cultural perspective. Virtual internships allow students to receive/gain the same benefits as the onsite internships from the comfort of their home.
Students register for the internship course of their choice through Webster Athens and will have continuous virtual access to the assigned project manager of the target entity, as well as with the Webster Athens coordinator. Virtual internships are an excellent resume booster in that they develop and demonstrate a diverse set of skills/experience which can be leveraged accordingly and are of high value to current/future employers.
