What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a whole new lifestyle! It was a lot slower and I could prioritize myself over schoolwork, which I had never really done before. It was totally worthwhile. I also think language immersion helped with my overall confidence

I did not feel like the academic programs were interesting and I don't really like France's school system. I also think it was especially hard to meet french university students because there is no university culture and clubs are very disorganized, you really really have to make an effort and even then I don't think they are particularly willing to get to know americans

  • I felt supported by the Wellesley in Aix staff
  • I like the extracurricular activities they had us do
  • I liked my host family and aix was a great town

  • teaching us how to meet more french students
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I knew that I should follow my heart and do the activities that interested me instead of following what my friends were doing
