I needed to learn what kind of a person I am in comparison to the world. I understand now that I prefer the stability of staying in my home country.
Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The on-site learning made it was difficult to remember details since the weather was harsh. However it was inspirational to visit many locations. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
They did not have wifi for the apartments. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
The neighborhood was not safe as I got mugged and beaten by a pair of young men. |
* Food: |
The food was good, but pricey. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
There were lots of cool field trips. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
Have your own first aid kit. The quality of health care there is poor. So, do not expect to buy health care products over there. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
No
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Language
* Did your program have a foreign language component? | Yes |
Language acquisition improvement? |
We had two different teachers for the language which helped since one was native. |

A Look Back
* What did you like most about the program? |
|
* What could be improved? |
|
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | Greece is going through tough economic times and I did a report on the increase in crimes in the nation due to their economic instability. I suggest traveling to other European countries until such a time that Greece is no longer in such political turmoil. |
