About
A College Accredited Study Abroad Program Focused on Language Study, Culture, Religion, and Development
The Dragons college accredited study abroad Nepal semester in the Himalayas will be largely based in the Kathmandu valley, where students will encounter the convergence of deep traditions with modern life. While living with host families and studying Nepali language, study abroad students have the opportunity to explore this remarkable region and its people, encountering the ancient spiritual and cultural traditions, vibrant history, and current politics through a combination of fieldtrips, a 10-day Buddhist retreat and discussion groups. Each week, professors, scholars and local experts in their respective fields present lectures to students on such topics as the caste system, environmental sustainability, water and waste issues, history and current events. From academic to hands on study, students find areas of personal interest to explore in depth during our semester.
