Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Well I'm not done yet. So far I have loved the classes at the Comission. I like my classes at UNLP, especially because it's just really interesting to see how another country's university system works.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I love everyone at the Commission! Occaisionally we had a problem and couldn't get in contact with anyone, but honestly we never had any big problems so it didn't even matter. Everyone is helpful and nice.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Host family!

* Food:

LOVE ARGENTINE FOOD! only problem it is repetitive and i want real mexican and indian food. oh, my host mom made awesome food, and eating out was cheap. *the biggest difference is not having as much control over when and what you eat. If i want to eat dinner at home, i'm eating what is cooked(which may be too cheesey or fatty for my mood), and around 9:30pm.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I feel as safe here as I do at home. That is probably naive, but that's how i feel! Some of us have gotten sick (mostly stomach stuff) and we usually deal with it ourselves, but the directors always ask us if we need to go to the doctor. and then we say no.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? about 100 pesos- some weeks a little more, some weeks much less- depending on what we do on the weekend and how much i eat out. The only thing that would make that number go up is travel expenses, which is optional but TRAVELING IS AWESOME

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? Beginner

Comments: This class was kind of helpful but, like any class, it is what you put into it. For example, I have already forgotten a lot of the grammar that we went over and should review it. Instead I am doing this review. oops. The class could be better.
