About
This program will introduce students to business and culture in Ghana. It will use a combination of pre-trip lecture/discussion sessions, in-country academic sessions, and in-country business and cultural experience.
Upon completion of the course, students should be able to:
1. Describe similarities and differences between Ghanaian and American culture and explain how these shape differences in business culture.
2. Describe similarities and differences in business landscapes (nature and types of businesses) of Ghana and the US
3. Describe the political and economic history of Ghana since 1957
4. Describe key aspects of the Ghanaian economy
5. Identify some key challenges when doing business in Ghana
Students applying for this program may be eligible for the Haenicke Institute for the Global Education Study Abroad Scholarship.
