Worcester College, University of Oxford - Visiting Students Program
I learned a lot about what I love in literature. I also learned how to write quality essays in a short amount of time. It was definitely worthwhile.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
It was really a great experience. Academic rigor and intensity were moderate, and resources are unimaginably abundant. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Nice and helpful. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
There was a lamp, bedsheets, pillows, hangers, an individual bathroom, a fridge and even a safe for each student. The room is cleaned and trash dumped every other day by a "scout". |
* Food: |
Food at Worcester College ranks among the top ones at Oxford. Formals are the best. I also had my favorite dessert of my life at Worcester. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Worcester pays the most attention of integrating us with the local culture. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
We had meetings on this. |
* Safety: |
Oxford is a safe town. You can walk around at midnight alone. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
UK is a great place to travel to any locations talked in the books you read. I went to where Wordsworth wrote poems and where Shakespeare was born, immediately after reading them. I also had a brilliant studying experience with the Provost of the college. He is probably one of the most important people who influenced me throughout my life. I learned not only literature but also how to live and treat people kindly from him. |
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | Not much. Around 50-100 dollars at most. |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | If you want to travel, travel with the Oxford University Walking Club. |

Reasons For Studying Abroad
To help future students find programs attended by like-minded individuals, please choose the profile that most closely represents you. |
The Avid AdventurerThe wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal. |
