A deeply joyful and life-changing year August 11, 2025
By A student (History, Wellesley College) - abroad from 10/12/2024 to 06/21/2025 with
Worcester College, University of Oxford - Visiting Students Program
I learned to manage my time effectively, writing essays quickly while maintaining thoughtfulness and high standards. I also became more confident and enthusiastic in introducing myself to new people. In tutorials, I had the rare freedom to share my abundant curiosities, discussing topics and readings I especially enjoyed with an expert in the field, which was a real privilege. I learned to engage with challenging, unexpected questions by drawing on what I had read and understood, while also having the courage to sometimes admit that I was not sure of the answer.
