Review Your Program
|
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
|
|
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Amazing staff and classes, both in English and in Spanish. Overall a great experience. |
|
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I stayed with an amazing host family. Very friendly and supportive and only spoke in Spanish with myself and my roommate. My Spanish improved the most by living with a host family. Best idea when looking to study abroad. |
| * Food: |
Adjusting to the food as well as meal times was difficult at first but I learned to enjoy the food and work around when everyone ate. Definitely squeezed in a few fast food runs but I really enjoyed eating with my host family. |
|
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Great lifestyle with a mix of school and time to travel. Trips planned through my program were well planned and definitely recommended. |
|
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
| * Safety: |
I did not have any problems with theft and most of the times felt completely safe. Medical care was available and a staff member would assist anyone who needed help with translation. No health issues and no vaccines were necessary. |
| If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
|
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Language
| * Did your program have a foreign language component? | Yes |
| Language acquisition improvement? |
I lived with a host family. I spoke in the host country language (Spanish) everyday. Most of the people spoke Spanish who were not involved in my program. |
